“Sofía has a talent for capturing and expressing human moments in just a few words and a few chords…there's a kind of magic in revealing just enough to hint at a story, but hiding most of it to retain a sense of mystique.” —Autumn Chiu, Keepsake House

Singer/songwriter Sofía Campoamor first started writing songs to make school projects more fun. This lighthearted approach to academics took her to Yale University, where she performed a cappella music around the world as the first woman member of the Whiffenpoofs.

Now Brooklyn-based, Campoamor blends her love of intricate vocal harmony with dreamy acoustic soundscapes to tell tales of longing and friendship on her debut indie folk album, "if you knew, i couldn't tell." Her sophomore effort, “with all the lights on,” takes a deeper cut, weaving together the lyrical intimacy of folk with the sonic edges of indie pop. The 12-song collection is an exploration of the body, delving into themes of mortality, chronic illness, queerness, and intimacy with a raw vulnerability that has become Campoamor’s signature.

Campoamor is a featured performer and songwriting facilitator with Gaia Music Collective. Her Tiktok songwriting project #wordlesong has been viewed 2M times. Campoamor tours locally and regionally at venues including The Bitter End, Johnny Brenda’s, Jammin’ Java, The Birchmere, and Mercury Lounge, and has opened for MALINDA, Philip Labes, and Lizzy Hilliard.
